camping

The Research Camping comes from the desire to open artistic research to a diverse audience, by sharing practices and materials through collective experiences and by activating a space that invites to stay in a research attitude: articulating questions arising from the bodies, taking part in somebody else’s imagination, moving the point of view.
The camping is a space particularly suitable to embody the ways in which artistic research exists and appears: original modalities of crossing knowledge are developed, take root and get embodied only momentarily, and then change shape and generate new contexts.

The Research Camping appears through specific settings, drawing from the spaces and the imagery of camping. For each edition, these settings are designed as containers where the practices are situated: a space that is already embodied and works as an aesthetically defined device, scenario and context.
In 2022, the Research Camping/Wandering bodies has been a two-day festival articulated through the ideas of a Swimming pool, as a place for sharing diverse contents with different intensities, and the nightly campsite of the Tents, where to share practices needing longer duration, low-lit ambience, more proximity and intimacy.

In 2023, the Research Camping/Bodies en plein air took shape through the ideas of the Bar and the Kiosk. The WunderBar as a place able to host a flipped temporality, a kind of sociality intertwining love confessions and revolutionary thoughts, chit-chats and detours.
The Kiosk as a place where discourses coming from the bodies land on paper, are printed, produced and reproduced, disseminated, torn and recycled.
