Workspace Ricerca X – Research and Dramaturgy is a platform for supporting and developing artistic research and dramaturgy in the field of choreography and performance.
Founded in 2016, the project aims to the dissemination, questioning and legitimation of artistic research in Italy and targets professionals in the dance and performing arts sector.
Through the core activity of the residencies, we activate a shared complex research environment, addressing a reflection on higher education and self-education of professionals, acting as creative processes accelerators and supporting artistic trajectories.
Among the proposed activities there is a public program, shaped in different formats, integrating the sharing of practices and materials developed within research processes and the production of theoretical discursivity and critical thinking.
Workspace Ricerca X moves from the intention of strengthening a culture of artistic research in Italy, by activating spaces where to practice an approach to work that is alternative to production dynamics, focused on the weaving of alliances and the circulation of knowledge generated in artistic practices.
Workspace Ricerca X is a project by StandOrt Performing Arts, supported by Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo within the activities of Lavanderia a Vapore / Residency center for dance.
